About

Learn how a stock market works, by doing it

Aksion is a stock market simulator. The companies are fictional, the money is fake, and the order book is real, so every trade teaches you something without costing you anything.

How it works

  • Everyone starts equal

New traders get 100,000 ETB of simulated cash. You can't add more, and you can't take any out.

  • Prices come from people

Buyers and sellers meet in a live order book. A price only moves when a trade happens, just like on a real exchange.

  • Mistakes are free

Try a limit order, sell too early, hold too long. Your returns and the leaderboard show what worked.

What Aksion is

Aksion recreates the moving parts of a stock exchange: listed companies, an order book with bids and asks, market and limit orders, a news feed that moves sentiment, and a leaderboard. The companies are invented and styled on Ethiopian industries, so the names feel familiar but no real business is involved.

Market-maker bots trade alongside people so there is always someone on the other side of your order. They follow simple rules and have no special view of the future.

Who it's for

Aksion is for anyone curious about investing who wants to understand it before risking real money: students, first-time investors, and people who want to practise a strategy.

  • No experience needed: every screen explains itself as you go.
  • No cost: signing up is free, and there is nothing to buy.
  • No pressure: the money is fake, so the only thing at stake is what you learn.

What Aksion isn't

Aksion is not a broker, an exchange or a bank. You can't deposit, withdraw or win real money, and simulated balances can't be exchanged for anything.

Nothing on Aksion is financial advice. Results in a simulator don't predict results with real money.
